For this workshop we will be using home ingredients to create our own Anthotypes mixture to create our own prints.

What to Expect

Unlike Cyanotypes that use a bit more chemistry and UV exposure to create their signature deep Prussian blue prints.For this workshop, we will be using Turmeric.

For this workshop, we will be using a plexiglass plate, cotton paper or watercolor paper, turmeric solution, and the power of the sun (or UV Lights!)

All tools, paper and material is provided at the studio. If you like to bring a photo negative or want to send a photo negative to print please let us know ahead of time. For this workshop, we also encourage to bring your own trinkets. So bring yourself and enjoy learning something new!

Carla Castro Gomez
Carla Castro Gomez is a Mexican American printmaker who specializes in Intaglio. She has five years of experience in this medium. She exhibits internationally and locally - she has shown her work in England, Mexico, and Chicago. She is a mentor, teaching others printmaking techniques. She enjoys learning new techniques herself, and uses whatever is at her disposal to create.
